As we’re nearing the end of the year you start to think back on this year. It is almost 2021, and 2020 has been one of the worst years in recent history – almost to the point of the whole of history. The Coronavirus, otherwise known as COVID-19, is the virus that took 2020 by storm. According to the New York Times and Wikipedia, as of December 17, 2020, were 74.2 million worldwide cases, 42 million people recovered, and 1.65 million deaths.
Remember the End of 2019? People were wondering what 2020 would be like.
Would it be one of the best years ever? A new decade, a start of another 10 years.
Hopefully, it will be a great start to a fresh decade.
Alas, many tragedies happened in 2020 and it is really easy for people to be heavily affected.
Whether that be in the mental state, physical state, or emotional state, people are really affected by everything. However, there is one thing that every single person should know: It is okay to not be okay all the time.
You don’t have to pretend to be great all the time. Pent up emotions can actually hurt you more than if you try to express and release your feelings.
It is great to care for people and look out for people that are going through things, but you also have to remember that you matter too.
We can all agree that 2020 has been a tough year. Let’s look out for each other going forward into 2021, in our families, communities, and simply united as human beings.
If we have learned anything from this year, it must be to step into 2021 with a good mindset and attitude. Accept the things we can’t and be willing to change the things we can. Wishing you all a happy new year!
